22kts and lovin it!

WOW! what a day yesterday, built up and held around 22kts yesterday mid afternoon, the waves were up also and coming in sweet for carving off the lip, small but fun!

Lets hope today is the same, its 11:30 am now and the wind is already here at a steady 15 knots

bring it on!

Showcasing visitors & locals

thanks to Richard Roberts again and his excellent photography skills we all got a chance to show off our best moves in front of the camera.  Rich picked a medium tide level to courageously wade out to the sand bar with his camera (no waterproof housing used) and got some great shots of the riders.

I have picked a couple of the best from each rider, also some spectacular wipeouts……enjoy!

Thermal Season is Here!

Hey Guys, its been a while since we updated the blog, we are giving the blog a new look like Phukets blog and will try to update as much as possible now ther thermals have arrived………and they are perfect!

Wind is starting between 11-12 each day then continuing until sundown usually, wind is peaking at around 3pm at around 16 -18 knots, we have had 2 no wind days on the last 2 weeks . this place is awesome.

Here is a shot from the beach courtesy of Rich Roberts from UK armed with his sports lens and canon d400

and here is a short clip of our beach couple of days ago.

The wind returns!

riding 12pm-5pm avg 17.5 gusts 25 kts.

the wind’s back! and the waves too. sunshine, wind and waves. mmmmm!!!…..

20 knots of wind.....Thailand Baby!

Slow but sure! - Perfect for Kitesurfing lessons

riding 10am-2pm avg 13 gusts 15.

the perfect day for learning. my students did really well today - both up on the board and very happy. wind dropped a bit too much for me to have fun though.
but the wind’s back tomorrow!

another student learning

Flat Water already!

Students and Kiteboarders riding 11am-5pm avg 13 gusts 16.

the waves have stopped!
great for my students - they’re progressing quickly through the bodydrags. not so much for riding but i had a 30min play on the 14m.

learning to kitesurf

Pranburi Perfect!

Kiters out riding 11am-5pm avg 17 gusts 22.

another day on the 9s!
but a nicer day today - started at a sensible time like 10.30 rather than howling at 8am like the last 3 days. waves still big, current still strong in front of the shop but manageable upwind a couple of hundred metres. seems to be an area about a hundred metres out of beautiful fast 2m high rolling waves. they look scary as you get close but never break on you and give you a big push if you get it right.
more of the same tomorrow!
